The world of houseboat sales is a world that is fairly new to me.
I do however know about living on a houseboat. And I’m a little worried that as you get caught up in the nuts and bolts of buying your new boat you may lose sight of a few of the basic things you should keep in mind. So I’ve decided to give you my thoughts on this and you can take it from there.
First, you already have a good idea of how many people will be on the boat. However, don’t lose sight of the fact that you may have guests arriving from time to time. (If I knew anyone with a houseboat I’d sure be making friends with them in a hurry!) So you might want to add an extra bedroom or two to handle that.
Second, as you consider point number one above, a kitchen table is not a bed! Never has been. Never will be. Don’t go there. You really do need a common area and there is no better place for that than the kitchen and/or dining area.
Third, you will have a finite amount of space. Do you want big roomy bedrooms or do you want to maximize your living space. I don’t know what to say here except that you will need to keep this in mind as you’re looking.
So off you go to the houseboat sales links below. And once you’ve found your dream boat (Oh, no! Did I say that with my loud voice?) feel free to come back to us so we can help you get the most enjoyment from it.
